2016 TEA Award Winner – Outstanding Achievement: Attraction
Summary:
Story-driven observation deck, emphasizing of the rise, rebuild and the “resilience of the human spirit” after tragedy. One of the most popular tourist attractions in NYC with over 2.3 million visitors in the first year of operation. Project consisted of a lower level experience, telling the stories of the workers, moving through the foundations of the building before rising to the 102nd floor on an immersive elevator experience depicting New York’s development through the years.
Key project roles/responsibilities:
Was an integral part of a 3 person architecture and design team from concept through the construction, RFI and oversight process. Was responsible for the architectural packages in addition to SketchUo modeling, for both internal design usage as well as visual representation of spaces in virtual reality.
